Keeping in mind that designing a pull-up bar isn’t exactly nuclear physics, this is a solid product overall. The drawback is that the grips are both in a fixed location, so that no matter how you mount it, you will be off to one side just a little. Does that really matter when doing pull-ups? No. This is a decent pull-up bar. Do your pull-ups, folks.

Good product, actually ripped out of the wall, but thats a testament to the strength of the bar, and my crappy wall. excellent if you have wider than a standard doorway.

I bought a bar that looks exactly like this at Sports Authority. IT seems to be the only one that solves the problem of the bar spinning. With the design of the ends of the bar and how they fit in the brackets it cannot spin. What it says about portability in the description is nonsense. You absolutely must use the brackets and they MUST be screwed in securely. My bar came with no foam hand grips, just as the one pictured. My bet is you get no hand grips. But you do get a chrome plated steel bar thats not going anywhere once you get up. Sports Authority had it for $14.99

great pull-up bar. very stable. even better with a solid steel bar inside at 45inches long. i ordered this for my building here in afghanistan during my current deployment. everyone loves it and uses it daily. it does not roll, and i’ve had 220lb guys do pullups on it. great product. and delivery was extremely fast…even to afghanistan (apo address).

This is a great pull-up bar. The only problem is that you have to be very precise and make sure the brackets are directly across from each other in the doorway. One of the brackets is slightly higher than the other on my bar because I didn’t measure it exactly and that can make removing and putting the bar back a little difficult, but I usually just keep it in.

The only issue I have is that it came with no directions, so it took a little bit to get it up. But after I installed it, its been great. Super steady and never spins.

Solid Pull-Up Bar for a great price

I spent a lot of time researching a good pull-up bar and I’m satisfied I bought this one. The most important things for me were durability and functionality and this bar definitely gets good marks. It’s easy to install and the solid construction means you can jump up and do pull-ups like a madman and not worry about some rickety bolt coming loose or the bar sliding around (based on the reviews of other bars this seemed to be a problem). Basically, a great bar!

Box too big.

The pull up bar came fine and was what was expected. Easy to put up and good price. Our only real drawback was that for some reason it is shipped in a HUMONGOUS box. Seriously, the pull up bar is like 2feet long (before extending) and only a few inches thick but it came in a box around 5ft tall and 3 feet square. Seems like a waste of cardboard.

I wish it didnit’ ahve to be screwed in, but it is sturdy, so i guess its worth it.
