The basic premise of the Xvest weight vest is very simple: training or exercising the body at a heavier weight than it is accustomed . With specific exercises or very broad conditioning exercises, you will find that your conditioning level will improve and your strength, power, and quickness will also improve. This is accomplished by tricking your body, brain and your muscles to believe that you have gained this extra weight but in actuality, you have not. When the Xvest is removed, your body will function and react as if the weight is still there; therefore, you have tricked your mind and muscles and will be capable of producing power, speed, quickness and endurance at levels that you might have never obtained. more info

Awsome for building power and strength. Way better than the old weight belts we used to use. I highly recommend this product-just don’t go too heavy!

    Excellent quality and fit

Purchased this vest to help stay in shape for the Wildland FF pack test and also just to stay in specific shape for lugging around a pack in the mountains. Loading down a regular pack gets a bit old and also expensive when you rip them up. I have used several makes of weighted vests and this one far exceeds the others in terms of construction quality and fit. Easy to adjust for the most part. Adding and removing weight is a no brainer and the weights stay put. (a real problem on some vests) Played around with some uphill sprints and when cinched down tight there is almost no movement of the vest. Sizing-My waist is on the higher end of the medium vest which is what I got. I might have been better off with a large to fit my torso size. The point-you might want to move up a size if you are close and you are also fit.(small gut, big chest)

The DVD that comes with it is kind of hokie and designed for the hop, skip and jump to music crowd but you don’t need it for anything. (riding a stationary bike with the vest on???? OHHHH K)

I’ve had the X-Vest for about 3 weeks now and have been very satisfied with it’s quality and performance. I was a bit concerned it wouldn’t be large enough since I’m 6′ 210lbs and ordered a large, but the vest fits very well. I like the way they’ve designed the weights to fit in front and back pockets, but would have liked to see a storage case for the weights. It will be a while before I get to the point of using all 40 weights and storing them can be a bit of a hassle.

Overall, the vest is comfortable, durable and adjustable to fit. The DVD instructional video that came with it had a few good maintenance pointers, but didn’t offer much more than that. I’d recommend this vest for someone serious in training. It’s a bit expensive, but most items that are built well these days are going to be expensive.

    the best workout Xvest

I bought this vest, the 40lb. XVest-40lbs of weights included, medium size, and from the minute I got it I knew I had a winner. In fact my partner just put it on while I was still reading the instructions and walked up 5 flights of stairs and since he knows a lot about weight lifting equipment, gave it a thumbs up. After I tried it I knew what he was talking about- the weights are evenly distributed and, making sure to keep that back straight, just walking to the store becomes a workout- great for those of us who cannot gt enough. The only let down is, if you are alone, it is next to impossible to load the vest with the weights, and get it over your head, in order to put it on. I don’t know how to get over this one snag, but otherwise, Good product- better than good- very good.

    I’ve never sweat so much

I’ve been using this product with 10% of my body weight for about a month now and I’m noticing some impressive results as far as toning, endurance, and overall strength. I wear this vest during my treadmill run, my weight-training, and my kickboxing workouts. The vest feels balanced and comfortable to wear. The elastic straps keep the vest firm against my core and there is virtually no jostling or bouncing. At first it was a little difficult to breathe because it was so snug, but I learned that this feature promotes “dynamic breathing” and now my lung capacity has drastically improved. My only real complaint is that it sometimes rides up in the front a little (roughly 1.5″-2.0″) and I have to pull down on it, however this doesn’t really interefere with the product’s performance. My favorite exercises with the vest are pushups, running and pull-ups. Since using the vest, I have increased my maximum pull-up reps (without the vest – and without kicking my legs) by 4! During kickboxing I notice that I’m a lot quicker on my feet and I’m delivering more powerful roundhouse kicks. I’m also able to run much longer distances at higher inclines before bonking.

Sit ups on the floor with the vest are uncomfortable because of the weights located behind my lower back. However, I’ve found that using a declined bench or swiss ball alleviates this discomfort. It also helps me achieve one heck of a burn.

This vest will up your game, but only if you put forth the effort. During the first few days of using it there were moments when I felt like passing out. It’s definitely hard work, but if you’re looking for a new way to crank up your workouts, I would highly recommend this product.

I use the X- Vest in my training, running sprints and for running the stairs at the local stadium.

The core strength that develops from the weighted vest is immediately noticed on the playing field and the vest is off. It is a great investment for the true competitor and worth every penny.

I am a personal trainer and run a private business working with clients 1-on-1. I purchased this vest from Amazon a few months ago after researching the best quality weighted-vests and the X-VEST always got the best reviews. I purchased a medium, 40lb. vest and had one of my clients wear it while doing several different activities. She is in excellent shape, but the 40lbs. was too much. Needless to say, she loved the vest so much after just wearing it for a few minutes, she started hunting for her own and found the exact same one for $40 less on EBAY.

She ordered it and has been wearing it to walk in 14 miles per week as well as during my 2X per week fitness boot camps. She does everything in that thing, but when something becomes too difficult she easily whips it right off. She also spilled her chocolate protein shake all over it one day and had to experience washing it, which was effortless. She loves the vest and has even convinced two of her friends to purchase it now.

I decided to keep the one I ordered all to myself and use it for dips, pullups, pushups and many AB exercises. It is hardcore and gets your heart rate sky high! I definitely recommend this vest to anyone who can fork over the cash.

I love Amazon and always search here for anything even before hitting the local stores, but in this case I would check out EBAY for a cheaper price on this vest.
