    Worth it!
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
For the money I paid this item was well worth it. It serves its purpose to the tee. Was a little worried about the size seeing as I am 6’3 and 235lbs. Have had this product for a month now and have had no problems at all. If your looking for the simple sit up bench and don’t want to spend alot of money, this is the product for you. Took me no time to set up, seeing as it was mostly put together when I received it. Hope this review helps someone.

    Great for the price
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my son last Christmas, and he told me it works great. After searching the net and finding much more expensive benches, I decided to go with this one that hopefully would simply allow him to do some bench exercises, ab exercises, etc., then fold up to give him room in his apartment. Well, it does all that and is very sturdy. I tried it out last month and it worked as well as any of the weight benches I have in my weight room. I recommend it, particularly for the price.

Pin wont fit. Needed a drill
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Nice looking, sturdy, comfortable and would otherwise be easy to asemble except for the fact that one of the pins would not pass through the pre-drilled holes. It required a drill and a metal drillbit to enlarge the whole. It was only then that I could complete asembly. This problem was mentioned on a few reviews. That is why I’m rating this product with only 3 stars.

Use in and improve your health!

This adjustable slant board took maybe 15 minutes to put together but works just fine. It is padded sufficiently for comfort but still has the stiffness necessary. I do sit ups and crunches with it and am completely satisfied as it contributes to my workout regime and health.

    A good buy
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This product was priced right, and does what they claim. It would have been better if the sloped position was a bit steeper.

I received it with a broken end cap, after calling the company they quicly sent out the replacement part free of charge.

good bench-folds up a couple inches taller than advertised!
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I liked the bench, but when my wife and I discussed it, an important item to her was that it fit under the bed when ‘not-in-use’. She measured the height of the bed before we ordered the bench. According to the specs…it should have worked. It didn’t. My wife was ‘not happy’. Remember rule#1 of marriage….when your wife is happy….life is good!

    Lacking in Quality
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The bench I received was not assembled correctly. Pad was mounted crooked on the frame and the adjustment mechanism would not operate properly. I sent it back. I was not impressed with the quality, materials or workmanship of this product. I purchased a Hoist bench locally and have been happy with that one – better quality but more expensive. You definitely get what you pay for! I would avoid this product… I don’t recommend it.

    Item was acceptable
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
It did take a few minutes to put together. One of the pins did not fit that held it in place, so I made a makeshift pin. Cap on top of leg guards was broke. Back pad was not centered. Overall it is functional as those were cosmetic items. The price is good, it is functional, and it works as advertised. Does have a little wobble to it, but when doing the excercises is fine. Not a perfect piece of equipment, but is functional and is valuable for the price purchased.

EXCELLENT For At Home Weight Training!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this slant board in hopes that it would suffice for a weight bench while lifting weights at home. I am THRILLED with this purchase. It has more than exceded my expectations. It is solidly constructed and very nice looking. It is easily stored away as it will slide right under the bed or stand up in the closet much like an ironing board. The padding for the legs while working abs is great and provides nice support behind the knee. You can adjust this so that you have an incline or a flat bench for such exercises as dumbbell flyes or bench presses. This is a really great product and I’m so happy I made the investment. If you’re looking for a “weight bench” to use for at home weight lifting/exercises, I highly recommend this slant board. It’s also very light weight! I’m 5’9″ and 170lbs and it more than provides room and support for my body. I think even guys/gals over 6’0″ would work well too! GREAT PRODUCT!

I returned this because I ordered the wrong item. I have not seen a credit yet. How long does this take?

    Decent equipment for the price
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I’ve had my slant board for about a month now. I use it in the flat position as a dumbbell bench and for crunches. I’ve used the slanted position to stretch out my back after snow shoveling. (I hope to eventually do crunches in that position.) I’m 6’1″ (with most of my height from the waist up) and the board fits me well.

I have a few complaints. As noted by M. Friedman, it does not fold down as compactly as claimed. If you remove the front supports (quick and easy enough), it folds down to about 6.5 inches. There were also a couple of minor quality issues. The most significant was that in the upright position the lockpin didn’t go through because a couple of holes did not quite line up. I had to file it out. I also expected the backrest to be cushier, but maybe that’s not really desirable.

The instructions are inadequate. They tell how to assemble, but not how to adjust the unit (although you’ll figure it out). They provide generic information about stretching and heart rates, but no suggestion of specific exercises you might perform on the slant board. There’s not even a picture of a person using the equipment. There is a chart of the body’s major muscles groups with the assurance “this product will develop both upper and lower body muscle groups.”

In the end, the product does what I want it to do and I can’t complain about the price.

    Thanks!

I ordered this bench early in January being content with the projected delivery date of January 31. It actually came the very next week! What a happy surprise! It was easy to set up and easy to use. Thanks Mercantila and Amazon!

    Bad construction
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Okay, so if this thing fit together right, it would be great. But, the side that has the leg pads would not fully extend so that the holes would line up right for the adjusting pin to fit into it. It even looks like maybe someone tried to file down part of it to make it fit, with no success. Anyway, I didn’t feel like putting this thing back in the box and returning so I jerry-rigged it to work, although now I cant easily fold it completely down for storage, which in my case is okay.

Very happy with this slant board
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
A very good board for the price. The slant is 24″. (in case anyone needs to know that) I couldn’t find that info anywhere before I bought it. I’m very happy with this board. It’s comfortable and sturdy.

    Quality Home Gym Equipment
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This slant bench is very sturdy. I was surprised by the quality of the construction because of the price. I am a big guy, but I really feel comfortable working out on this bench. It came almost fully assembled IMO, all I had to do was unwrap everything and put on the pads. The angle of the decline is decent but I would have liked it to be a little steeper. Also the bench doesnt fold nearly as flat as I would have liked, and I think it is too big to fit underneath most beds, but it is still capable of squeezing into most tight spaces. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. Gym quality equipment for a home gym price.

UPDATE* When the bench is not in the folded position a couple of the holes do not line up. I had to remove the small metal rod with a hammer the first time I used it, and widen the hole with a drill.

Maybe I’d like it if it were put together properly
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought this bench because of the good reviews and the price. After struggling to put it together, I realize that purchasing this bench is like spinning a roulette wheel. If you get a bench that was put together properly and aligned correctly, it’ll be useful. Otherwise, you’ll be left with nothing but frustration. Count me as the latter.

The pegs would not fit into the hole when I stretched out the leg support. Even if I could somehow manage to push it in there, it would still leave me with the same problem on the other end. I could have somehow tried to file down the hole so it would work, as an alternative to going through the hassle of returning, but I don’t see why I should have to pay for a product that isn’t acceptably put together out of the box.

ETA: Seeing the negative votes on my review, I will add this: The bench was great! You are guaranteed to get a great workout putting these poorly designed hunks of metal together. I sweated off about five pounds just trying to get the pin into the hole, even though there was no possible way for them to fit.

Forget the weights! Forget the sit-ups! Just buy this bench and try to put it together. You’re sure not to be disappointed.

That’s what you get for honesty and trying to help your fellow man out: a slap in the face. So be it. You won’t be getting any more reviews from me.
