Seems like good product. Holds up well. My kids love it! I need to use it more, but I am happy with it.

    poor quality
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I found this ball and pump to be of poor quality. And, though it said 65cm on the box, it only wanted to inflate to about 55cm. Just to accomplish this, I had to use a foot pump that I’d received a couple of months earlier with the purchase of an Altus exercise ball. By the time this Valeo ball got to 55cm it was very very full. And, again, the box said 65cm. I’m returning this ball and ordering another Altus.

Does the job with some work
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I bought this as a “chair” for myself at work. I had used a different ball at a previous job and liked it. This one is burst resistant (previous one wasn’t) and I noticed that I had to re-inflate it once or twice a day for the first couple weeks, but now it works great.

    perfect–just what I wanted

This ball looks good, seems durable and was a great price, especially with the pump included. Purchased it as a desk chair and I’m very pleased. Would definitely recommend.

    Birth Ball
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Bought this as a birth ball – found out after I bought it that not only can you use it during labor, but it also is quite a comfy seat for the last few weeks of pregnancy. Bought the medium size at the advice of other reviews I read, even though I am only 5’2″. That was good advice – definitely buy a size bigger than you think – you can always under-inflate it a little too.

    Just what I expected

Good deal, just what I wanted and it’s nice it came with a DVD as well. However, no wall chart as promised.

    FANTASTIC
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I USE THIS 5 DAYS A WEEK AND IT PERFORMS PERFECTLY EVERY TIME.

    I HAVEN’T HAD TO RE-INFLATE IT IN 3 MONTHS.

YOU’D THINK THAT MAKING A BALL LIKE THIS WOULD BE EASY BUT I’VE HAD A FEW THAT WERE TERRIBLE.

I ALWAYS RECOMMEND THIS TO MY FRIENDS.

I have bought many of these great affordable body balls
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This review is simple, for under $20 you can have this ball delivered to yourself. I have since bought one for work, and another one for the home office. Sitting on this at work is very comfortable.

    Good:

    Cheap

High quality – very tough, we have never had one pop on us

    Comfy

    Room for improvement:

Lately the inflater they put in the box is now a hand pump vs. the foot pedal. This takes a LONG time to inflate and wears out the arm.

    Big, Strong, and Perfect.
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am not a small person…250lbs and about 6′ tall. I bought this to use as a desk chair after seeing one of my favorite journalists using it. Much to my amazement…it works. I sit on it 3-4 hours a day and its perfect height for me to use as a desk chair and work on a computer. I have used it for occasional back exercising and it works well for that too.

The price and shipping from Amazon are awesome….I would highly recommend this item…as a chair and as a exercise ball.

    Sturdy & Solid
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a nice, solid exercise ball. I’ve used it several times and don’t have to worry about popping the ball. It’s a bit tacky, (not sticky), so there’s no problem with slipping. It’s a good quality exercise ball.

My coworkers and I have all started sitting on these balls at work. They are great and a nice change from a normal chair.

    Terrible pump
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
The pump included with this ball is in no way capable of inflating the ball to it’s proper proportions.

great workout ball or desk chair
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The summary: sturdy, comfortable, “cushiony” but firm, tacky surface to keep you from slipping.

I really like this workout ball. I found this ball great for workouts, and a nice periodic change for my deskchair as well. It has a slightly tacky surface, so you don’t slip (like the feel of a rubber band – it doesn’t feel ‘sticky’). It is firm while still having a cushiony feel. It also feels very sturdy so I don’t worry about it popping. There is a guide that is very easy to use to help you blow it up to the right size (the pump is included). I’ve used several other workout balls and this is my favorite.

Not much can go wrong with this and so far nothing has. This is fine and does the job no problems. ’nuff said.

Good value for a basic exercise ball. Easy to inflate with included pump and seems durable.

    Great Body Ball
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The ball came on time. It was easy to inflate, took about 15 minutes, working my arm muscles. The CD is very helpful for exploring the various exercises. I also love to sit on it for reading, knitting and watching TV.

    Very recommendable!

    Pleasantly Surprised – great purchase
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I spent a lot of time looking at various exercise balls on Amazon and ended up going with this one. I am completely happy with it. It includes the hand pump to inflate, and a ‘tape’ to show you the exact inflation circumference. My kids had a great time inflating it. The quality of the ball is just like those I’ve used in fitness centers. For the price and the included items, this was just right. Like some others have noted, I did not receive a wall chart as advertised (no big deal). It does include a DVD but I have not used it. I got one of the DVDs from the “10 Minute” series which is extremely good. You can program a series of 10 minute sessions on the DVD to customize what works for you. I could easily see packing this ball and hand pump when doing extended travel and using it in the hotel room.

    Exercise Help
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this ball because my trainer has me doing a variety of exercises using a ball. Good solid ball and easy to inflate. Multiple uses if you have someone to show you the exercises. Plus, it can be used at home which is less expensive than going to a gym and you can fit into your own schedule.

Just be sure that you’re getting the right size for you. My girlfried is 5’5″ and it was a good fit for her.

Horrible chemical smells. Gave me headaches
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The ball seems fine except that it has a strong, horrible plastic smell that gives me headaches – even after 2 or 3 days of sitting out and off-gassing. At this point I can’t use it and hope that after a couple of weeks it might get better.

    Check your height before buying
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is designed for users 5’4″ to 6′. I’ve only owned it for a week but appears to be good quality. Includes a pump and measuring tape so you know when to stop pumping it. Also includes a CD Rom or DVD which we haven’t checked out yet.

The ball came with instructions for inflating which worked very well. I like using it as a desk chair; my niece enjoyed bouncing on it. No air has leaked in the month that I’ve had the ball. Its a ball, what more can I say?

A must have for those tight muscles & bad backs.

    pretty good
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
pretty much the same as the other ratings. I use it at home when I’m at my computer. It helps me with my posture and occasional muscle stimulations, rather than just on a chair. The rubber smell will take days to go away.

  25. Conscientious Consumer on Tue, 26th Jan 2010 4:28 pm

Inappropriate size for 5’5″ person / would give 3.5 score if allowed
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
There is nothing wrong with the overall structure of the product, just that the ball itself when fully inflated to its 65cm diameter is still too small for my five foot five inch frame to appropriately use for any one of the following purposes; physical therapy, yoga, and pilates.

I would say if you are at most five feet tall this ball would probably work well for you. I have since received my new 75cm ball which works perfectly for all the aforementioned exercises.

The inflation process is time consuming (a good 10 minutes) and the pump for the 65cm (a hand pump) did not take in / release much air per pump, so if you are the proprietor of an electric pump with applicable attachments I would highly recommend you save your self the effort.

The other issue I take with this product is that it is manufactured in China and for a person living in the states, there is nothing worse that we can do for our economy and our environment than purchase something TWO THOUSAND MILES away…they make better quality balls in Italy (which is much closer, depending on where you reside and has higher standards of manufacturing for their citizens)…so check out the ‘Gymnastik’ series of balls for the same price!

    Cheers!

I am 5’3″ and this ball fits my size. I was a bit worried that it would be too big, but that is not the case at all. Right now the ball is primarily being used as a desk chair. I sit on it just about every day & my husband (who is 5’9″ likes it as a chair too). I have also used it to exercise. Oh, and my step-kids have had immense joy in playing with it. I would recommend this ball to anyone. I did have to re-pump it twice in the first month that I have had it, but that’s because I like to have it super-firm when I do my crunches and work outs on it.

    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This ball is of good quality, however, there is no way it could be inflated to the circumference of the tape included. It would have burst had I inflated it to this size. Also, did not come with wall chart as specified.

    WORTHLESS
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Don’t waste your money on this product. The ball itself may be burst resistant, but I never found out because the accessory air pump will NOT inflate the ball to the required diameter of 65cm. In fact, because of the type of inflation valve, I couldn’t even inflate it with a bicycle tire pump.

    Valeo Body Ball Review
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I ordered the 65cm body ball, and was curious about whether or not I would be satisfied with it. It is of high quality (gym quality), holds the air without leaking, and has not slipped on any surface. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality, and would highly recommend this body ball for anyone considering its purchase.
