I’m a huge New Balance fan but this one did not fit like the others. It seems to bind on the side and is not comfortable to wear for long walks. Maybe I got a defective shoe but this one is not up to standards.

MUCH MORE THAN I HAD HOPED FOR!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I was looking for a sturdy yet comfortable athletic shoe that I would be able to wear for many hours at a time, either at the lab or while on vacation. Hence I would not accept anything that did not have special cushioning for both heel and forefoot.

At the same time I wanted something that would not clash too much with a sports jacket. Hence the search for a total black look.

For years I had been an exclusive NIKE customer when it came to athletic shoes but that brand has no all-black AIR MAX 360 (which was what I was looking for at first). Then I came across the NEW BALANCE 622 and did not regret giving them a try (disregard the mini-picture: it comes also in black).

This model indeed has special cushioning for both heel and forefoot (a copyrighted system called Abzorb®) and the sole design hags the foot from all angles. It feels solid yet light, sturdy yet flexible. I especially like the upper curvature of the sole in the front, whereas I really appreciated the availability of three sizes of wideness.

My only gripe is that some of the eyelets are plastic. Now, they are not flimsy and none has even demonstrated a tendency to brake so far – but I ‘d rather have metal trimmed eyelets peace of mind anytime.

A student of mine commented that NEW BALANCE is the brand that Steve Jobs wears exclusively and I was…strutting for almost a day before I found out that APPLE’s creative genius favors the…991 model.

Anyway, computer moguls preferences non-withstanding, over the past months I found myself wearing this pair much more than I though. No wonder back-pain specialists recommend NEW BALANCE shoes.

    RECOMMENDED!

This is exactly what I was looking for. The packaging was in good shape and arrived before I expected to receive it.

Best Athletic shoe on the Market and a great value
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
These are absolutely the best athletic shoes on the market ! They are so comfortable, provide great support and stability, and last as long as any shoe out there. You just can’t buy a better shoe at ANY price. I’m so glad that NB makes these in wide widths. You will be very happy with these sneakers.

A typical A+ New Balance product
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve worn this shoe for many years and loved them. The size is true to what it says. Very nice cross trainers. No mesh in them which is a plus for me. If you like cross trainers these are excellent.

This particular casual shoe was purchased by recommendation of an exceptionally great orthopedic surgical wing at a local hospital, as a post foot-surgery first pair of shoes. These crosstrainers are comfortable from step one and provide the lateral support required by the specialists. And they are reasonably priced. A great shoe from New Balance.

I have large feet (15EEE) and often have problems finding shoes, frequently compromising on comfort for fit. My foot doctor recommended New Balance, and I am hooked.

    Good replacement for the 575
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I was bummed when New Balance stopped making the 575. NB recommended the 622 because it has a similar last. While it has taken longer to break in than the 575, it works much better than the 576 which has a very different last.

I like these shoes because they come in wide sizes, and they are very comfortable to wear all day, and they don’t break the bank.

    Go to Zappo’s

Never again! Amazon takes no responsability for their contract stores like Peltz Famous Brand Shoes

I ordered on July 22 and the shoes finally arrived on Aug 3

Go to Zappos for overnight service

    Take time to break in
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I needed black shoes for work. These are not as comfortable as other New Balance shoes I owned. They take time to break in. Construction seems cheaper than past NB shoes. But for me wearing these beats wearing normal shoes at work.

    Not so great
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I ordered these for my husband. He has had them now for over a month and he wears them practically every day to work. Today the sole seperated from the shoe. I would expect that with every day wear a shoe does tend to fall apart, but after only a month? I am very disappointed.

    Needed a narrow shoe
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Found this product using Zappos. It’s a narrow shoe and my choices were either this or a loafer. It’s comfortable and not too boring. I like the way a properly fit shoe feels. It’s nice that New Balance takes care of those of us with narrow feet.

    He Loves Them!

Bought these for my husband for Christmas and he loves them! He wears nothing but NB. This is the 2nd pair i’ve ordered online and have been satisfied both times.

    Did not fit.
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I have 3 pairs of New Balance shoes currently; 1 pair of running and 2 cross-trainers. All are size 10.5 eeee and all fit perfectly. So when I ordered these in the same size I was suprized that they didn’t fit. Really didn’t fit. Pinched my big toe like a vice. So I sent them back. Guess I’ll have to buy them in the store and try them on first.

    New Balance MX622 shoes
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a good overall shoe for walking around or light training. It is by no means a running shoe but it is very comfortable for walking.

I ordered them in size “E” and they came in as a “2E”. I called the dealer and was told they are considered an E and that is the way they come.

???? but the fit was o.k. so I kept them.

    Good sneakers

I couldn’t find a good price on my usual 608′s so I tried these and am very satisfied. Laces could be better quality to earn 5 stars.

    Great all around athletic shoe
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
These are my favorite shoes. Just a very comfortable shoe that works well whether you’re playing basketball or mowing the lawn. In my opinion they are an accurate fit in the lenth and the width. I like a wide and tall toe box, and these fit the bill. I have probably had three or four pair of these previously. They seem to hold up very well. You can’t beat New Balance for a solid, well constructed shoe. Also, the price and shipping thru Amazon was great!

Okay I guess, but not if you’re replacing MX621
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This shoe might be okay in its own right, but I was led to believe that it was an upgrade to the 621. It is an entirely different shoe, although it looks similar.

The biggest difference is in the toe box, which is much narrower than the 621, even in 4E size.

I sure wish that they still made the 621. I am now on a search for a replacement.

    Not Up to Snuff
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Up to now I never had a problem with New Balance through the many years I’ve bought them. However I put these shoes on and immediately noticed the toe box was too small (even with a size 11 4E) cutting right above my toes. What was even stranger was I also bought a pair of the brown/green version at the same time and have had no problem…as I said strange.

My hubby was looking for another comfortable pair of sneakers. These fit the bill and the foot, came quickly and he is enjoying his comfortable new sneakers.

    New Balance always fits
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have worn New Balance shoes exclusively for over 10 years because they are always available in wide widths and seem comfortable. However the 622 I just bought seems to have too much vertical room in the toebox and lacks arch support for anyone with high arches. They seem stiffer than my old 620 shoes; perhaps I should have researched other than cross training shoes, since I use them mainly for walking and light trail hiking in warm weather. Next time I will look for a more flexible toe and something with more webbing or slightly less leather in the toe area.
