GoFit's Ultimate Burst Resistant Core Stability balls are a safe way to work your abs, back and full core. The slow-deflate quality and extra-thick wall construction of the GoFit Ultimate Burst Resistant Core Stability ball makes this ball suitable for weight training, stretching, rehabilitation and other heavy use since it is designed to slowly deflate if punctured. This health club quality ball is suitable for home and commercial use. Each kit includes the purple 65cm burst resistant ball, a 25-minute training session on DVD, a detailed exercise poster and an air pump. Suitable for those 5'7 to 6'0 tall. more info

ball sizes run larger than advertised
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I regularly use stability balls at the gym and bought this one for use at home. I use the 65 cm balls the most, so that is the size I bought from GoFit. However, the ball is clearly larger than 65 cm when fully inflated. I measured the size at 70 cm, and it is still a little more squishable than a workout ball should be. Sure, I could let some air out of the ball so that it is smaller, but then it would be flat! The GoFit ball is a poor quality product if that is what was intended.
While I have not had any problems wih my ball leeking, I would suggest buying a size smaller than you use at the gym or buying a different company’s ball.

I’m having a ball
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
After reading an article about “active seating” somewhere, I bought this ball. It is my primary desk chair and it’s great. (I now have a very nice ‘real’ chair for you next time you come.)
I can use my mind and body at my desk. I can go from sitting (still, rocking, or really pushing it) to busting out a few sets of crunches, or using it as a bench to do reps with dumb-bells. No equipment and no excuses.
Really well made, the pump is quite basic but more than adequate, and the results- my core- prove I made a great investment.

Great birth ball!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am planning a natural child birth at home and was told by my doula and my midwives to purchase a birth ball. This one is GREAT! It’s very sturdy so you don’t have to worry about popping it or falling off in your huge pregnant state. Plus I’m sure this will come in handy when I’m trying to get my figure back after the baby comes.

WARNING! This ball EXPLODED while on it
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I have used and enjoyed this ball as my work chair for the last year due to back problems. When I researched available therapy balls, I specifically looked for the ANTI-BURST versions. They are supposed to be safe and function similar to tires that are punctured — slowly lose air so there is no violent explosion.
This morning while working at my computer, there was a huge bang, and I crashed to the floor after my ball completely and violently EXPLODED. A half a dozen colleagues came running because they had no idea what could have caused so much commotion.
Moreover, I’m in my final week of physical therapy and I shutter to think what the impact of this fall directly on the base of my spinal column is going to do to me over the next few weeks and months.
I’m furious that the ANTI-BURST proclamation obviously meant nothing. I strongly warn others about this false claim.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

This stability ball is perfect. They are very popular in the workout world these days, and this ball is great. It is very reasonably priced. The pump, dvd, and poster that come with the ball are also handy extras to have.

Excellent Stability Ball!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this stability ball/pump/poster/DVD set for a co-worker.
Both she and her husband have been using it frequently and report that it’s wonderful.
Her husband is an automobile mechanic with a back injury and he must bend over cars all day. So, lying face up on the ball and doing exercises that strengthen his “core” muscles (abdominals and back) have really helped alleviate his back pain.
She occasionally uses it at work to sit on in front of the computer, as well. This challenges the core and leg muscles and is a great break from the usual routine at work.
They’re both very happy with the set!

Smaller than advertised!
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The ball seems strong enough to support my 28 weeks pregnant weight (165 pounds). I’m really disappointed though, because is much smaller than 65 cm diameter. Now it’s really inflated (more than what I would consider appropriate) and it is about 55 cm diameter (high), no more than that. I am 5.6 tall and had a hard time deciding if buying the 65 cm or the 75 cm, because I was pretty sure I wanted a ball big enough to comfortable sit on it. This one is OK but a little too hard now, and I think it would be way too small if I keep deflating it. Besides, the ball looks cheaper than in the picture, specially consider than is more expensive than other similar ones.
I think it is an OK product, but they shouldn’t say it is a size it is not. After all, the size is the only way a costumer has to figure out if it would be big enough or not.

Great product, make sure you get the size right

Great product – good quality and does not leak air – well at least for the one month we have had it now.
The DVD is very useful but I’d have liked it to be longer! But hey not complaining, it is much more useful than just a piece of paper with pictures.

I bought a 65 cm GoFit exercise ball. Determining the size was easy and seems to work out well. In other words, the ball I bought seems to fit me very well. It comes with a pump that works just fine, too. It seems to be very well made but I have had it less than two months. The problem was in determining how much air to put into it. How do I know that it is full to 65 cm? No method for determining the diameter was included. I had to find the formula to convert diameter to circumference and apply a tape measure to the ball to determine that I had inflated it enough to measure 65 cm in diameter. I have had no trouble with the plug, either putting it in or getting it out again when necessary.

I really love this DVD – the instuctor goes at the right pace, and the DVD is short and to the point. I have gotten some great exercise ideas for the ball that I would never have thought of on my own.

Several fatal design flaws
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
The pump that comes with this ball is a joke. It’s not one of those hand pumps, but rather a very cheap attempt to make a foot pump. It took forever to inflate the ball using the pump. After putting the plug in the ball I realized it still needed more air, but now the plug will not come out. I’ve had other excercise balls that managed to hold air without making it impossible to remove the plug. This is a poorly designed product.

I got this because it has a workout dvd. and let me tell you, it’s a piece of crap. but the ball itself is good. its surface feels like matte photo paper. and it’s plastic. i just can’t figure out how to re-pump it after the first pump of air. because it started to go flat in the first week. so finally i had to use tweezers to get the plug out of the hole so i can pump more air.

The size fits me and my wife well. We love it. The material looks sturdy. The only issue I had was like someone mentioned the air seems to be leaking pretty quick. having said that I havent filled air since past 5 days..But I would have prefered it to stay firm at least 1 week.

Very Durable Stability Ball …
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased 2 GoFit Ultimate Burst Resistant Core Stability Balls w/DVD (orange 55cm and purple 65cm)over a year ago from Amazon (on sale). The ball is a very durable, good quality ball (no foul smells or sticky surfaces like some other stability balls). I haven’t had any problems with the ball in over a year of constant use. I have had to occasionally add air to keep the ball at the appropriate size (but nothing out of the ordinary).
This package comes with the ball, pump and workout DVD. I didn’t even attempt to use the cheap manual pump included, but opted to use my husband’s automatic pump, which quickly and easily inflated the ball to the desired size without any effort. The workout DVD is that in name only. It has some good exercise ideas, but if you are looking for a stability ball workout, you will probably want to buy a separate “true” stability ball workout DVD. [...]
As a side note …
When determining what size stability ball to purchase, leg length (not height) is what ultimately dictates the size ball you need. If you know you have shorter or longer legs for your height, then you may need to get a smaller or larger ball than the standard height charts for stability balls.
For those of you who are unsure of how much to inflate your stability ball, here are some helpful guidelines taken from the fitnesource site … On a wall, measure 55cm, 65cm or 75cm (depending on the ball size you have) from the floor and mark it with a pencil. Then inflate the ball until it feels/looks “full”, but is not hard and still has a little bit of give in it when you press on it. Put the ball close to the mark you made on the wall and then place a ruler on top of the ball so that it touches the top of the ball and the mark on the wall. This will tell you how close you are to the maximum inflation for your ball size. If this is the first time you are inflating the ball, while it might seem full, it might still measure small. If this happens, give the ball a day to “stretch out” and then add some additional air, if needed. If you don’t want to do all that, they also sell tape measures specifically for measuring the diameter of stability balls. Just keep in mind, that when you sit on the ball with your feet flat on the ground and knees bent, your knees should be level with or slightly lower than your hips (a 90 degree angle).

The delivery was quick, and being a person who suffers from Fibromyalgia and Arthritis using the Exercise ball is a God send. I am able to use the ball and dvd with out extra pain and grief. Although I wish that the dvd was more interactive, this was well worth the money spent. I am currently looking for a dvd that is better for a complete workout instead of having to reverse or pausing.

Doesn’t hold air…
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I returned this product.
I bought this ball so it will be used as a chair.
I think it is baddly designed. I dont think it was a defect.
I pumped it up to pressure and sealed the hole with the plugs that came with it. Then I noticed after sew hours the air pressure was constantly reducing. I pumped it up again, and it lots air again during several hours. The next day in the morning the ball was very loose.
Another problem is that once you put the plug into the air hole, it is very hard – almost impossible – to take the plug out in order to plug the pump in.
This ball is not well designed.

Package missing parts
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The ball did not include plugs to keep the air from escaping. I spent 30 minutes pumping it up with the manual pump, only to find that there was no way to plug it up. There were also no instructions included on pumping the ball up. (That would’ve been helpful to know if I was doing it incorrectly b/c of the missing plugs.) Other than that, the quality of the ball was exceptional – very thick and sturdy.

Most of these exercise balls are all the same, but I found this one to be a pretty good quality piece of equipment. It was easy to inflate and, beyond that, it was easy to inflate to full capacity. It’s so annoying when you can’t inflate balls all the way and they sag when you use them.
Price is a little high on this one, but it’s worth it for the most part.

This Ball survived Toes …..
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am 6′ tall. This ball is a perfect fit. It took about 5 minutes to pump up completely and plug (I got a couple EXTRA plugs – which I appreciate greatly). I’ve done a few workouts on it per week and it’s performed perfectly! I have this cat, her name is Toes. She is constantly messing with my weights and getting on my bench while I work out. I just lay my head on her and she eventually leaves. I knew the ball was going to be interesting to her. Sure enough, she’s tried to pull the plug out and she used her claws. She has been up on the ball a couple of times. It’s still hole-free (WOOHOO!) and working just fine!

I was about to have spinal fusion back surgery…and walked with a limp–but using the exercise ball helped me strengthen my back and my core and now, a year later..I feel virtually no pain and have forgotten this horrible time in my life.
The key is to USE THE BALL!
and To use it several times a week. And then watch your core become strong!

Happy with the ball, but the woman in the DVD has probably never made a workout demo before. She couldn’t even do some of the exercises. If you can get a ball separately, do it. Then get a better demo DVD, say Adam Ford’s Swiss Ball Basics.

After reviewing dozens of other exercise balls, this one seemed the best. So far there has been no problems mentioned on other ones. Fairly easy to blow up. Nice and sturdy. No “sticky” problems. No leakage. Doesn’t feel weak and cheap. Mainly used by my wife who is very active and fit. Enjoys it very much.
Price was great too.

I love this ball–wish I didn’t have to buy it again!!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I purchased this 65-inch purple ball well over a year ago and it improved my posture (I use it while on my computer at home) and replaced traditional chairs for me. I actually cried the day it burst (and it did burst and left me with a bruised head!), but I think it came in contact with a broken glass (we had our windows repaned) so I do not blame the ball for that.
I could not wait to replace it and ordered one I thought was the same, but it was not—though it claimed to be 65cm, I felt like my knees hit my chin each time I used it. The reason the GoFit ball is my favorite (and I am reordering it) is the strength of the ball–it holds more weight and holds it better.
I took off one star for the ‘bursting’ experience–the ball was there one second, and gone the next. That could be devestating for a pregnant woman.
