Diamondback Recumbent Bike
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I love this bike.I ride it everyday which I did not do with my old bike. It was a good deal and easy to assemble. When I opened the box the only minor problem was an end cap on the front stabilizer bar was broken. I called Amazon and they gave me a number to contact DB and they were very nice and I recieved 2 replacements the next day!!The bike is very quiet, I swear you could hear a pin drop while riding. I would recommend this bike and or company to anyone. Free shipping was great plus the delivery was very timely

Diamondback does not support this bike
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I ordered this bike from Amazon and it arrived damaged. Although the damage is relatively minor (one of the end caps on the rear stabilizer bar was smashed), I went immediately to the Diamondback web site for customer support. There is no phone number for contact and the email support entry that I made was completely ignored. As stated by another customer, the warranty section of the manual very clearly states that purchasing this product via mail order VOIDS THE WARRANTY. Even the Amazon customer support representative was surprised to hear that.
Amazon did offer to replace the entire bike, which is a testament to the absolutely wonderful support that Amazon gives to their customers. Since the damage was minor and the rest of the bike seemed to be okay, I decided to keep it. I am giving the product a one star because the manufacturer apparently does not support their products AT ALL after the sale. This product is not recommended for purchase online from any vendor. In fact, it may simply be best to stay away from all Diamondback products if this is the way that they choose to support their customers after a purchase.

Well-built, well-designed machine
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I selected this type of machine because of my bad knees, which prevented me from vigorous walking. My wife had a bad back which also limited her walking abilities. We surmised that a reccumbent bike exerciser might be the answer for both of us. A health magazine recommended the Diamondback 900SR, so we searched for it. None of the local dealers for Diamondback carried the machine in stock, nor could they order it. They all said that they would have to buy them by the container load, and they couldn’t carry that many in stock. If this is correct, the manufacturer may want to address this problem. We were reluctant to order a machine we had not tried, but did so anyway, as there was no way to try the product. I called the company and asked if the warranty would be valid for self-sassembly, since I had no way to buy through a dealer. The agent told me that it would be valid, that the policy which was stated in the owner’s manual had been changed. When I got my machine, however, the old warranty policy was still stated. This is something else the manufacturer should address. The assembly was straight-forward, and the instructions were clear. No parts were missing, and everything worked. The machine is comfortable and a dream to use. The big seat is very comfortable, and the lumbar support in the back made it possible for my wife to use as well. We are well satisfied with the product, and rate its most important mechanical qualities as excellent. I would give it five stars, except the seat creaks a bit in use because it is not as tightly supported as it should be, and as stated in other reviews, the fan is nothing more than a toy – it should either be improved or removed. Also, the problems with the dealer network and warranty ambiguity took a bit of shine off the transaction. Overall, however, we are well satisfied with the product – it is vastly superior to all the other recumbent exercisers we tried in showrooms. If the manufacturer will address the problems outlined above, they will have a superb product.

Great Bike. Highly Recommended
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
The Diamondback 900sr, overall, lived up to expectations and even exceeded some. The bike was easy to assemble. It took me about 2 hours to put together. The base portion was already assembled, all I had to do was install the seat, the pedals, and the console unit. Just be careful not to pinch the wiring and you’ll be just fine. The bike is super quiet. This is where the bike exceeded my expectations. I wasn’t expecting it to be so quiet. The pre-programmed exercises are great. There are enough variations to keep my interest. The one thing I do not like (and the main reason I give the bike 4 stars and not 5) are the fans. They do not push enough air to cool. On high, the fans are extremely loud and still do not push enough air. Why install a feature on a bike if its not going to work properly. Also, the speakers are low quality. I plug my iPod into the console and listen to music while I workout. The speakers do the job, but are very weak and sound like they play in mono and not stereo. I still ended up buying a separate iPod speaker kit. The bike is heavy, approximately 150 pounds. I only mention this because if you need to move it up/down stairs, you will need help. The delivery guy who delivered it to my house was alone and he wouldn’t help me move it into the house until I offered him a nominal tip.
All-in-all I bought the bike to workout, not to listen to music or be cooled by the fans. That said, if your looking a good quality piece of equipment for the home, I highly recommend this product, just don’t expect much from the extraneous features. Its quiet, its comfortable, and it provides a good workout. It’s not gym quality, but it comes very close and since its for home use, I feel I definetly got my money’s worth.

From Flabby Couch Potato to Over 40 & Getting Fit!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This was hands-down THE best purchase I have made in years!! I did ALOT of research prior to my purchase. After deciding on the actual bike, I decided on the distributor. Amazon had the best price with free shipping and for a purchase that’s over 100lbs, that’s a huge savings! There was some assembly required but the instructions were easy to read and follow and all pieces and tools were packed neatly and clearly identified. I set my bike up right in the living room near the couch and TV. I started off slowly with some of the preset random workouts. After 3 weeks I am so thrilled that I have lost over 9lbs! But more than that, the loose fitting clothes and firming up of muscles is wonderful. I used to come home from work so stressed and tired that I did nothing in the evenings. My back ached, my knees ached. Now, I do a 36 minute workout while watching the news, then on to an active evening. The bike is wonderful. There are too many programs to count. There are programs for EVERY fitness level and every goal. It’s completely silent and does not take up too much space. it is very, very comfortable. It has no impact on my knees and is so supportive of my back. It is extremely well constructed and has an incredible waranty. I definitely recommend this to anyone who’s given up on working out. This machine has changed my life!!

Good Exercise Option
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This recumbent exercise bike has proven to be an excellent choice for my wife and me. She has found the bike to be easy to use and provides excellent exercise. Even thought I generally ride a road bike, I found this bike a good exercise alternative.

no resistance adjustment
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Th bike arrived with broken resistance adjustment module – had a lot of problems getting it fixed.
Otherwise OK , handlebars a little to low and console could be closer to the seat.

Diamondback 900Sr
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This recumbent exercise bike was all it said it was and works very well.
It was also much cheaper on-line at Amazon.com than in the speciality stores.
I’ve used it for several weeks and it is very easy to use and comfortable.

great bike
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Sooo quiet. It took this senior 2 hours to put together with no problems. The first one I received was damaged in shipping, but Amazon replaced it within a week. Everyone was courteous and efficient. The second bike was in perfect shape and only 1 screw and washer were missing. They arrived within two days. No, the fan isn’t worth turning on, but that isn’t a priority for me.

Gym Rat Opinion on Diamondbacks 900sr Recumbent
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am a gym rat. I am used to doing cardio at Gregory Gym (Hook’Em!). They have Life Fitness bikes, both stand up and recumbent, treadmills and ellipticals. They also have Precor ellipticals. In short I am used to doing cardio on exercise machines that cost more than some new and some used cars.
This bike was purchased for home use for my mother. I try to motivate her to exercise. But like many of you know, at the end of the day when you are tired from working you neglect yourself. I am used to upright bikes and have seen my mother use the recumbent when we used to go to the gym together. I was not a fan of the recumbent bike, but after a few days of use, it is comfortable, easy to use and gets you a great sweet. Best of all it is easier on the knee joints.
As far as assembly- it is easy and took about an hour. They provide all the tools you need to put it together. In all you are basically attaching the seat, pedals, the two stabilizing bars (front and back)on the base and attaching the console and console bar to the unit. To save space I suppose, some of the bolts were pre-screwed into the unit. For instance the bar that you hold to register your heart rate beside the seat attaches to the unit by four screws. I spent more time looking for those screws then it took to installing them. They were loosely screwed into where they needed to be minus that bar.
As I said before I am a gym rat and am used to working out on high end equipment. That being said, this is a great machine. It is easy to use and links up to my polar heart rate. There is plenty of resistance to keep you challenged and most importantly it runs quietly. So quite, that you are more likely to make more noise from your shorts rubbing together than using the bike.
The left side panel programs allow you to change the resistance manually. The right side programs do not allow you to manually change the resistance. It will on its own depending on your heart rate like top end machines do (but they also allow you to lower the resistance).
For right now I have only been using manual modes. One draw back is that on random mode sometimes the resistance is too much. On the Life Fitness machines you put in your resistance and even on random or hill mode you will feel a difference of resistance but within the range of that level. Maybe my legs are weak? One last thing, I know some people might be turned off that it needs a power source to run. It does shut off automatically to save energy.
All and All, I have to remember this is for my mom to get cardiovascularly fit. But I do enjoy it, it gives you all the resistance you want, it runs quietly, they’re lots of different modes to choose from. You will get the same work out as you would going to the gym. Highly recommended.

really happy with this bike, about an hour to put together. Works well with other heart rate straps, and nice variety of settings.

Diamondback 900SR Review
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Here’s what I like about this bike -
Easy to assemble (took me less than 2 hours by myself)
Very quiet
Comfortable seat and back rest
Feels very sturdy
Gives a good workout
Plenty of programs to choose from
Here’s what I don’t like -
You have to connect the power adaptor to the front of the bike, which makes things kind of difficult if you want it facing away from the wall.
The connections for the heart rate monitor will short out if you’re not very very careful installing the bolts on the console mast.
It was very heavy to lift out of the box by myself, help is recommended.
The warranty is void if you purchase this online or mail order.
Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase.

Diamondback 900Sr Recumbent Bike
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This bike is ideal for anyone who needs or likes extra back support on a recumbent bike. The ergonomic seat is unique to this Diamondback model, and it’s a huge plus in our house. We found the best price on Amazon.com, saved $100 on shipping (or delivery), plus saved another $100 on sales tax. My husband easily assembled it with no assistance in a relatively short amount of time (during a 2 hour American Idol show).

Diamondback
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
First, I priced this product at three retail stores and four online providers. Amazon had the best price for the product (by a wide margin) and free delivery. After my order was confirmed, I received a call from the shipper telling me the date and time that the order would be delivered. The order was delivered exactly as promised by a courteous, uniformed person.
The features included on this bike for the cost provide a tremendous value. I purchased this product after considerable comparison, and as a replacement for a 5 year old recumbent. I am very pleased with the quietness, feel of the pedals, ease-of-use of the console and programmability. The mesh seatback and adjustable seat are comfortable and provide good support. I use this bike 45 minutes per day.
If you are assembling the bike alone, allow approximately two hours from start-to-finish. However, the instructions are well-written and simple. One of the main reasons I decided on this brand is because Diamondback has been producing bicycles for years, and are known for high-quality products. I highly recommend this product.

Top Notch Equipment
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This incredible bike has managed to pull me out of a major slump. I developed plantar fasciitis in both of my feet several months ago, and went from being an extremely active person who worked out almost every day to a couch potato. I have only had this bike for a few days, but it has changed the way I feel completely. Since there is no impact on my feet, I can even do some of the more challenging workouts with no pain. This is certainly not a cheap feeling piece of equipment, but feels more like something you would find in a gym. It is very sturdy, an incredibly smooth ride, comfortable, and quiet. The pre-programmed workouts are challenging and fun. If you like to watch tv while you workout, this is the perfect piece of equipment for you. It is as quiet as a mouse, so you won’t disturb anyone with the volume of your tv.

Great Bike and Good Deal on Amazon but NO WARRANTY!!
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Just got my bike today and it matches the ratings that have been given by the other reviewers except for two issues:
1.) The seat “clunks” when I use it and it drives me crazy!! Tried all the settings for the seat but it makes noise when I start really pedaling! Finally got a bit used to it and use the sound to help me get in a cadence! It would be totally quiet if it were not for the seat making this noise!
2.) The description in the warranty clearly states that the warranty is VOID if the bike is assembled by the person who orders the bike via mail order!! Certainly not mentioned by any of the reviewers and there it was in black and white on page 46 of the owner’s manual: “Sales where the unit is delivered unassembled (in a carton) to the end user (e.g. mail order or internet sales) without a service contract purchased through the dealer VOIDS the Warranty”. This is insane and SHOULD preclude this item from being sold my Amazon!!
Other than these issues it is working great and providing a decent workout for an old guy!!

No more knee pain
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This has been the best purchase I have made in quite sometime. It is so easy to use and the benefits are amazing. I have knee pain and can’t go up and down stairs.. Well, now I can. I use it every other day and it helps you right away. More movement and the knees don’t hurt. My aunt and uncle who are in there 70′s came over to see how it worked.. My uncle gave me his credit card and said “order us one”..They even love it. It is so quiet and you can set the bike to what you are comfortable with. I would recommend this bike to anyone who has knee injuries or who just want to get some exercise.. It makes your legs alot stronger.
Thank you for making me move again!! Becky
